Wedding Wednesday: Wedding Party Pictures

After our first look and pictures with the two of us we felt like we got plenty of pictures and our friends joined us for Wedding Party pictures. It was a lot of fun to see the guys and they were all gushing about how pretty I looked. It was super sweet.

We started with the typical girls and boys. I didn't have a very good shot with just the girls. I guess getting 6 of us to all look perfect is a struggle. But this one from the side was kinda cool and shows some of their great hairstyles.

This silly picture is one of my favorites. I love my girls, I love my husband, so much greatness in one silly shot.

These handsome boys are the best. I am so lucky that he has such great friends and I also consider each one of them my friends as well.

Me and my best friend/matron of honor. She's the closest thing I have to a sister, best friends since 5th grade.

It's all fun and games for the guys.

We had a blast the whole time we were taking pictures. Our photographers kept us moving and on track with time and we got all of the shots that we needed. Next up was family. I was a little more stressed about this, but those went well too. That meant it was time to go and get hidden, then prepare for the ceremony!

I'll be back next week for more fun. Linking up with Macy!

Wedding Wednesday: Getting Ready!

Here we go, finally getting to my wedding day!

Getting ready was a really fun part of my day. One of my goals from the beginning of wedding planning was to make sure that I had plenty of time so that I could enjoy the entire morning and not be rushed or late for pictures. I had pictures scheduled starting at 1:30 at the venue (me getting dressed) so I wanted to go to the venue around 12:30 to double check all of the decor before I had to get dressed.

So...my bridesmaids and I stayed in a hotel the night before my wedding. I slept with my maid of honor in one room and the other girls were across the hall. My best friend and I had some snuggles and chatted when we woke up before we started getting ready.

We went to Starbucks to get the traditional 'Bride' and bridesmaids drinks and grabbed a light breakfast from our hotel.

When we got back, it wasn't long before the hair stylists arrived. I had a lot of drama with having a stylist, her moving unexpectedly and having another lady at the salon do my hair. Neither of my trials were exactly perfect for it gave me some anxiety. She also brought an assistant who worked on my bridesmaids.

My hair took way longer than it was supposed to and when I got up and looked at it in the mirror, I hated it. Literally I wanted to cry. My mom and bridesmaids were all like, you look so pretty, its okay...but it was bad. There was no poof like there was supposed to be and it was so matted down with hairspray. It was nasty. I had to just hold it together and get my make up done because my make up artist was there waiting.

Finally, 4 hours later we were all ready. Thankfully my make up was amazing, I felt like a supermodel. That made up for me hating my hair and I tried to not let it get me down. We packed up our stuff and headed to the venue in our robes. We took this teaser picture for me to put on facebook, I'm a little obsessed with it. :)

After I checked out everything in the venue, it was time to get dressed! My mom officially zipped me into my dress put it took all of my bridesmaids to get it all on right. There's a lot of poof! My bridesmaids were the best and kept the morning so fun and light hearted. They were constantly reassuring me, checking in on me, and making sure I was doing okay. I love them.

Adding those finishing touches! We had a nice 'locker room' to get ready in at the country club. There was nobody else in there and plenty of space. We could also peek out of the windows as they set up the ceremony decor so that was fun. I also got to watch my future husband walk out to his spot for the first look before I went out.

Next you'll get to see the first look! Writing this was so much fun, I love re-living the memories and all of the feelings I had on that day.

Wedding Wednesday: Bridesmaid Gifts

Happy Wednesday! I am so excited to be talking about my wedding which truly was the best day of my life. I am blessed for have five wonderful bridesmaids who were by my side throughout the entire process. I gave them their gifts at the rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding and I was rather proud of them. :) Here's a look at what they got!

I ordered them personalized bags on black friday and saved them all of these months! They are the perfect size for an overnight trip.

I saw this on pintrest and loved the idea. I bought these hair ties for $1 at walmart and printed out this cute saying on cardstock at home.

Bath and Body Works is my fav! I picked a fun summer scent that matched my colors. If you watch for sales and use coupons you can get a great deal.

Old Navy Flip Flops! Watch out for the $1 day, that's when I bought mine.

Tissues, these came in handy.

EOS! I got the Costco pack and split it up, one per girl. Perfect since I had five!

The robes were my favorite. I got them for each of the girls so we could get ready in them && take an adorable teaser picture. :)

It was a lot, but since I spread it out over several months it was totally affordable. I recommend just picking up little things here and there, before you know it you have a great gift!

Wedding Wednesday: Bachelorette Bash!

My bachelorette party was last week and it was AMAZING! My bridesmaids went above and beyond to make it such a fun trip. We stayed in a condo on the water in Chelan and it was gorgeous! Two of my bridesmaids got their early to decorate, it was so cute and festive when I arrived!

When we arrived we spend a couple of hours lounging at the pool and enjoying the sun!

That night we went out to an awesome Italian restaurant, we stopped for a group picture before we went in to eat.

We caught the sunset after dinner. I loved being right on the lake.

We went on a wine tasting tour the next day. We rode in this open air vehicle and our driver was great, he took us to the best wineries, was our personal photographer, and make the day a great adventure. Oh, and I made the girls wear tutus and it was a blast. :)

The second night we played some games and stayed in. After wine tasting all day we were all exhausted and it was nice to just hang out with each other in the condo.

It was the perfect trip! The last big thing before the wedding! We are only 17 days away! :)

Wedding Wednesday: Rhinestone Gifts

Happy Wedding Wednesday!

Today I am going to talk about of the gifts that I am giving/already gave everyone in my wedding party, bling shirts!

I bought these bling tank tops for my bridesmaids and gave them to them on the day that we went dress shopping. We are going to wear them on my bachelorette party with tutu's when we go wine tasting. :)

I was looking for someone else for my flower girls and I decided to make them some shirts to wear on the day of the rehearsal so they are matching and even more adorable than usual. I found this etsy shop and they were each only $1.99! I bought 3 since I have three flower girls and made the shirts over the weekend.

They were really easy to put on but they took a little longer than I thought. Initially I read online that they only take 20 seconds but it takes more like a minute. Regardless I really like how they turned out and I can't wait to give them to the girls.

Finally, I also bought one for my mom. I think that I am going to put it on a zip up that she can wear when she is getting ready the day of the wedding. She might not wear it any other time but I could see her wearing it around the house just to be comfy. I think it will be a good extra gift, she deserves it. :)

Does anyone else love bling and give their girls any bling gifts??

Wedding Wednesday: Bridesmaids!

I'm not gonna lie, I had a really hard time picking my bridesmaids. It's not that I have a lot of friends, but I have friends from different places and times in my life and it was really hard for me to decide who I wanted to include and who wasn't going to be in the bridal party. I didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings or have anyone feeling like they weren't as important because they weren't selected. I also had to try and decide on a number that C liked too because originally he only wanted 3 and I told him it would be impossible for me to limit it that much so we settled on 5.

My maid of honor was easy, my best friend since 5th grade who is basically my sister. We've gone all through school together, including college, and now we teach in the same school district. We are those crazy girls who plan on trying to be pregnant at the same time so we can also have kids the same age. I was her maid of honor is August and I'm thrilled that now she will serve as mine.

My four other bridesmaids are all really close friends. Another best friend, who was my partner in crime all through college. We were in marching band together and were co-section leaders for two years so we spent many, many, hours together. I convinced her to move across the hall from me in our dorms sophomore year so that we could be together 24/7. We are almost total opposites but balance each other out so well and I know we will be friends for life.

My two roommates are in my bridal party and I am so happy to include them because there were so many nights when we would be partying and then end up in one of our rooms hugging and saying, we will be best friends forever and all in each other's weddings! I'm the first one to get married and thrilled to begin the tradition. They are both amazing women, so fun, loving, and kind. They also put up with my fiance basically living with us when we were in college and never complaining once. They love him as much as I do and it's only fitting that they will be there when we say 'i do'.

My final bridesmaid is one of my close friends since high school. We met when we worked at McDonalds because we were both new at the same time. It started off as just a work friendship but progressed to much more. We spent lots of weekends together in high school having adventures or saying home watching movies until the wee hours of the morning. She's a friend who has been there through so much and now that I live back in the same town I grew up in we have connected a lot and I'm glad that we are still so close.

Those are my wonderful ladies. I asked them by making them all custom cards and wine bottle labels. It took a while to ask them all because they live all over the state but I finally did and they all said yes! I am one happy girl and I am so happy to have them all there with me throughout the entire wedding process.

Any tips on making sure I'm sweet and my bridesmaids all still love me when the wedding is complete?
